An energy generation system may comprises at least one photovoltaic cell PVT 9 in a first system 3, for converting at least a portion of solar energy into electrical energy. Preferably, a Stirling engine 19 is in thermal contact with the PVT 9 by means of a heat exchanger 17 for transferring heat energy from the PVT 9. The Stirling engine 19 converts at least a portion of heat energy from the PVT 9 into electrical energy. A water tank 41 may be in thermal contact with the Stirling engine 19 by means of for example, a condenser 31. The condenser 31 transfers heat energy from said Stirling engine to the water tank 41. A device such as a heat pump 23 may input heat energy into a second system 5 containing the Stirling engine. At least one first continuous conduit 11 containing a fluid for example, glycol and water may be in thermal contact with at least a portion of the PVT 9 in the first system 3. At least one second continuous conduit 21 containing a fluid for example glycol and water may be in thermal contact with for example the Stirling engine. |
