The method involves detecting (S1) the wear values of the wheel brakes by the respective wear sensors and storing the wear values. The stored wear values are examined (S2). The results of the examining the stored wear values are compared (S3) with predetermined normal values or limits. The irregularities are detected (S4) on the basis of comparing, checking the irregularities and outputting the corresponding information. An independent claim is also included for a recognition device for executing a method for detecting an irregularity in a brake system of a vehicle. |
