Pressure transducing reverser for use withbutane or propane

The supply gas e.g. butane or propane is supplied to the utilisation point via an open spring loaded valve situated on one side of an enclosed sprung membrane. As the gas bottle is exhausted the pressure relaxes on the membrane which operates an oblique cylinder acting on the supply valve to isolate the exhausted bottle and on a subsidiary valve on the opposite side of the cylinder to admit gas from a reserve bottle. The operation of the pressure reducer is rapid so that the interchanged gas supplies do not mix during the reversing operation.
