A combined tilt and slide lock device 10 comprising a slide lock actuator 20 and a separate tilt lock actuator 22, with both actuators 20, 22 provided within a single housing device 30 and adjacent to each other. The single housing device 30 is mounted centrally along an upper frame member 12 of a lower sash of a sash window, so that the lock has the traditional appearance of a central slide lock. The lock may be retrospectively fitted to existing sash windows. An apparatus comprising a sash window and such a lock device; and a method of locking a window sash are also claimed. |
