A grab for round timber comprises a traverse with rods, a working hydraulic cylinder, and an additional hydraulic cylinder with a control device, two jaws, each of which consists of two parts. A basic linear motor is installed instead of the working hydraulic cylinder. Connection of two parts of jaws is made with an additional linear motor with two shafts with strain gauges mounted from both sides. |
