DEVICE FOR DIFFUSION SATURATION OF ARTICLE SURFACES IN VACUUM

The invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for chemical-thermal processing by vacuum activated diffusion saturation of article surfaces. A device comprises the vacuum chamber in which container for articles is placed in separate furnace and container for activator is placed in another separate furnace connected with the container for articles by steam line. The container for articles has cover in which an aperture similar of Knudsen cell is made in the top part and water-cooled trap for activator steams is located above this cover. The heat screens are placed in vapor line. A layer of carbonaceous fabric can be used for articles at the bottom of container. The use of the proposed invention will provide uniform growth of coatings along the whole surface of articles.
