PURPOSE: A composition for purifying heavy metals using mine minerals and a method for purifying heavy metal contaminated water using the same are provided to eliminate arsenic, zinc, lead, cadmium, copper, iron, and cadmium contained in heavy metal contaminated water by modifying the electric surface of minerals. CONSTITUTION: A composition for purifying heavy metals includes mine minerals and organic polymer. The mine minerals include goethite and one or more of calcite and schwertmannite. The organic polymer is one selected from polyamine type cationic polymer and acryl type anionic polymer. The composition is obtained by mixing power and polyurethane. The organic polymer is mixed with the mine minerals to obtain the powder. |
