PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and an e-mail transmitting method thereof are provided to minimize the inconvenience of scan work repetition due to email transmission failures. CONSTITUTION: A scanning unit(12) scans a document to be transmitted through e-mail. The scanning module generates a scan image. A job identifier managing unit(131) generates a job identifier which is mapped to the generated scan image. An e-mail managing unit(132) transmits the e-mail while attaching the scan image through a mail server.
