PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting a remote controller using a photosensitive diode is provided to automatically set an integral remote controller with the remote controller of a setting electronic product by one input. CONSTITUTION: A setting electronic device turns off the power if the transmitted setting code and the setting electronic device is matched(S30). A photo sensor which is installed in front end of a remote controller senses the change of light which is generated from the setting electronic device when the power of setting electronic device is turned off(S40). The control unit of the remote controller stores the matched setting code to the memory of the remote controller(S50).
