PURPOSE: A cloth treating device and an operating method thereof are provided to enable a user to easily check an operation of a suction fan without checking the suction fan with eyes. CONSTITUTION: A control unit detects Td or Ta by two temperature sensors. The control unit operates Pd and Pm based on the sensed temperature. If Pd is smaller than Pm, the control unit determines that a suction fan normally operates. If Pd is not smaller than Pm, the control unit determines that the suction fan abnormally operates.
