PURPOSE: A light guide plate and a backlight unit assembly are provided to increase the brightness and brightness uniformity of a backlight unit assembly by improving the reflectivity on the lower part of the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: The light guide plate comprises a core layer and a surface layer formed on the core layer. The refractive index of the surface layer is lower than the refractive index of the core layer. The thickness of the core layer is 500-5,000 micrometer. The thickness of the surface layer is 1-100 micrometer.
