Provided is a washable cleansing composition which is able to correctly inform a user of time for washing face after being applied to face by changing the color to be whitened from the transparent state and not cause any skin irritation. In the washable cleansing cosmetic composition comprising a water-soluble composition as an aqueous phase portion and an oil composition as an oil phase portion, the water-soluble composition comprises 1-50 wt.% of silica powder having the particle size of 6-9 micrometers and the purity of at least 98%, 0.1-5 wt.% of a water-soluble polymer such as carboxymethylcellulosesodium, carageenan, and xanthan gum, 1-40 wt.% of a moisturizer such as glycerin, an aqueous solution of sorbitol, polyethyleneglycol, propyleneglycol, and dipropyleneglycol, and the remaining amount of water.
