PURPOSE: A display device, a display control method, shutter glasses, a control method for the shutter glasses, and a display system are provided to flicker a light source unit according to a pattern corresponding to sync information for a non display section, thereby transferring the sync information to the shutter glasses. CONSTITUTION: A light source unit(140) supplies the light to a display panel(130). A control unit(150) controls the flickering of the light source unit according to a predetermined pattern corresponding to first information for a non display section in which an image frame is not displayed on the display panel. The control unit makes an external device(200) derive the first information corresponding to a flickering pattern of the light source.
