Device for reinforcing concrete double-block crosspiece of damaged mechanized railway track with metal filler block during e.g. track renewal, has metal plates allowing temporary replacement of fixation device fixing rails on crosspiece

The device has a metallic European standard U-channel bar provided with holes on both of its ends. Folded and drilled metal plates allow temporary replacement of a fixation device e.g. rail clip, fixing rails on a concrete double-block crosspiece of a damaged mechanized railway track, using insulators existing on an existing rail fixation device e.g. nut and washer. The bar assures rigidity and space of a concrete rail supporting block during renewal of the damaged railway track. An independent claim is also included for a method for strengthening a concrete double-block crosspiece.
