PURPOSE: A bite holder for a lathe is provided to remove a need for a bite to be replaced depending on the processed part of a target since the tapered part of a holding unit is gently formed and does not interfere with the target. CONSTITUTION: A bite holder for a lathe comprises a bite body, a tapered unit(121), and a neck unit(122). The bite body is formed to have a given length and is mounted on a tool rest(200). The tapered unit is extended from one end of the bite body. The neck unit is extended from the end of the tapered unit. The tapered unit is 4 or 6 times as long as the neck unit.
