PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for winding an air-core coil are provided to improve productivity without a process for forming a winding end lead part by extending the winding end lead part from an outer circumference of a coil part. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for winding an air-core coil includes a nozzle(58), a wire end part supporting unit, a lead guide groove(12), a winding core(42), a cutter(61), and a clamp(84). The nozzle supplies a wire(2). The wire end part supporting unit supports an end part of the wire supplied from the nozzle. The wire extended from the wire end part supporting unit is inserted to the lead guide groove. The wire supplied from the nozzle is wound in the winding core. The cutter cuts the wire. The clamp supports and moves the wire.
