PURPOSE: A device for preventing upward movement of strip is provided to reduce the failure rate of strip and to accurately measure data about the strip, including temperature, thickness, width, and etc. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing upward movement of strip comprises a frame part(10) which is located above a plurality of feed rollers for transferring strip discharged from a finishing mill, a spray part(20) which is formed in the frame part and sprays fluid toward the strip, a moving part(30) which is formed in the frame part and moves the frame part up and down, an electromagnet part(50) which is located between the feed rollers and creates an electromagnetic force to correct the upward movement of the strip, and a control part which controls the spray part, the moving part, and the electromagnet part.
