PURPOSE: A ventilation system for a ship is provided to properly control the amount of air supplied and discharged by fans to a safety region of a ship by employing return lines in supply and discharge lines. CONSTITUTION: A ventilation system for a ship comprises a supply line(12), a supply fan(13), a discharge line(22), an discharge fan(23), a supply return line(15), and a discharge return line(25). The supply line is extended from the outside to a safety region(1). The supply fan is installed in the supply line. The discharge line is extended from the safety region to the outside. The discharge fan is installed in the discharge line. The supply return line is connected to the supply line, bypassing the supply fan. The discharge return line is connected to the discharge line, bypassing the discharge fan. The supply return line equalizes the volume of air supplied through the supply line and the volume of air corresponding to the number of ventilation of the safety region. The discharge return line equalizes the volume of air discharged through the discharge line and the volume of air corresponding to the number of ventilation of the safety region.
