1295550 Washing machines BEGES AG 23 Dec 1970 [24 Dec 1969] 61120/70 Heading D1A In a washing machine comprising a washing and drying chamber 1 with rods 2 for supporting hanging articles which are washed from movable upper and lower spray nozzles a circulating pump 6 intermittently supplies water simultaneously to the upper sprays taken together at a rate between 0.7 and 1.3 litre/sec and a pressure of 1.5 to 1.9 atmospheres and to the lower sprays taken together at a rate between 1.3 and 2.1 litres/sec at a pressure of 2.0 to 2.5 atmospheres. The upper spray nozzles are provided in an oscillatable pipe 3 and the lower sprays in a pipe 4 which rotates due to hydraulic reaction. The pump operates only when a switch 20, controlled by a programmer 16, and a water pressure sensitive switch 18 are both closed. The switch 18 prevents the pump operating when the bottom of the housing 1 contains too much foam. |
