PURPOSE: A wire grid polarizer and a backlight unit including the same are provided to minimize a color change rate according to a viewing angle by controlling the transmittance of each wavelength according to the light angle of incident light. CONSTITUTION: A first grating layer(120) includes one ore more first grating patterns(121) on a substrate. A second grating layer includes a second grating pattern(130) formed on a top part of the first grating pattern into a metal material. The first grating layer is formed into a polymer having lower refraction index than that of the substrate.
