LOCALLY HYDROPHILIC GAS DIFFUSION LAYER AND FUEL CELL STACK COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A locally hydrophilic gas diffusion layer is provided to effectively remove water generated from a fuel cell stack by simple processes, thereby improving performance of the fuel cell stack. CONSTITUTION: A locally hydrophilic gas diffusion layer(20) is supplied of stack coupling pressure from a separator(10), in which a land forming gas channel is formed, and comprises a first region(A) supplied of stack coupling pressure from the bottom of the land, and a second region in the bottom of the gas channel of the separator. The first region is treated hydrophilically. A fuel cell stack comprises a membrane-electrode assembly(40) in which a catalyst electrode layer is attached around an electrolyte membrane, a separator forming a gas channel, and the hydrophilic property gas diffusion layer.
