APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING CINR IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method thereof for estimating a CINR(Carrier To Interference Noise Ratio) at a wireless telecommunication system are provided to steadily operate a system by estimating an exact CINR. CONSTITUTION: A pilot extractor(461) extracts a pilot symbol. A correlator(462) calculates the mutual correlation between an extracted pilot symbol and pilot sequence. A pilot total power meter(463) calculates the power of the pilot symbol. A mutual difference operator(464) calculates the difference between adjacent two pilot symbols. A channel variation remover(465) eliminates the channel variation between the two pilot symbols. An interference noise power meter(466) measures the power of the component of an interference noise. A subtracter(467) subtracts the power of the interference noise from output power. A signal level compensator(467-1) calculates the signal power of data symbol. A reciprocal number converter(468) calculates the reciprocal number of the power of the interference noise. A multiplier(469) outputs a CINR(Carrier To Interference Noise Ratio) estimation value.
