<p>Disclosed is an ear thermometer capable of easy and accurate insertion of a probe into a subject's aural cavity. The disclosed ear thermometer is provided with a temperature detection element and an infrared detection element, and by using the ambient temperature detected by said temperature detection element and the relative temperature detected by said infrared detection element, the ear thermometer (100) measures the subject's body temperature. The ear thermometer is provided with: a probe (101) which is configured from a hollow tubular body and inserted into the aural cavity; and mounting units (102, 104) which have mounting features (106-108) for mounting on a finger of the subject and which support the probe so that the support position of the probe (101) opposes the palmar surface of the subject's distal phalanx when mounted on the subject's finger using said mounting features (106-108).</p> |
