<p>[Objective] To gather and analyze, at a low cost, information to be monitored for a communication apparatus connected to a network so as to lighten the burden upon an operator and to allow reduction of apparatus management costs. [Solution] The present invention is provided with a network interface (18), a processing device (22) which acquires information to be monitored (20) from a communication apparatus to be monitored (14) to perform predetermined processing, an internal storage device (24) for storing control data including the acquired information to be monitored (20), a display (26) for displaying results of the processing, a memory interface (38) for connecting an external storage device (36) which stores monitoring control information (34), and an input/output interface (40) for receiving input of information (42) which specifies monitoring operation. The external storage device (36) is caused to store monitoring control information (34) which includes identification information (28) for identifying the communication apparatus to be monitored (14), monitored items (30), and analysis assessment information (32) of the information to be monitored (20) so that it is possible for the device main unit to be made to be highly versatile in order to be able to monitor any network communication apparatus.</p> |
