<p>The following are formed in the housing (2) of this vane pump (1): a discharge passage (7) for discharging residual oil and a gas from inside a pump chamber (2A); and an atmosphere introduction passage (107) that lets pressure out of the pump chamber (2A) when a rotor (3) is run in reverse. The discharge passage (7) is opened and closed by a reed valve (8) outside the housing (2), and the atmosphere introduction passage (107) is also opened and closed by a reed valve (108) outside the housing (2). The vertical distance (H2) between the top and bottom edges of the atmosphere introduction passage (107) is set to be larger than the vertical distance (H1) between the top and bottom edges of the discharge passage (7). Residual oil from inside the pump chamber (2A) can be efficiently discharged outside the housing (2) via the discharge passage (7).</p> |
