PURPOSE: A collision detection method of polygon model using OBB(Oriented Bounding Box) tree and a mesh division method is provided to perform collision test by applying the mesh division method and the OBB tree to a polygon model. CONSTITUTION: A mesh division method is applied to a polygon model(201) of a machine parts. Mesh information is added(202). The mesh information is the lattice information of the polygon model. The machine parts have a simple shape. An OBB tree is created by using the added mesh information(203). A collision test is performed by using the created OBB tree(204).
