<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless device for a vehicle capable of sufficiently preventing relay attack by determining a frequency to be transmitted/received in accordance with a structure common to both a vehicle side wireless device and a portable side wireless device. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle side wireless device 2 includes authentication data generation means 5, vehicle side authentication data transmission means 6, vehicle side calculation data generation means 7, reception means 8 and collation means 9. A portable side wireless device 3 includes portable side authentication data reception means 10, portable side calculation data generation means 11 and transmission means 12. The vehicle side calculation data generation means 7 and the portable side calculation data generation means 11 generate vehicle side collation data 7a and portable side collation data 11a through a common logical operation.
