<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for removing a volatile organic compound effective in removing a volatile organic compound from resin particles containing a polyphenylene ether-based resin, to consequently provide a method for producing a polystyrene-based resin foam sheet containing a polyphenylene ether-based resin, and to improve problems of odors in a method for producing a container for foods using the polystyrene-based resin foam sheet. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the methods for removing the volatile organic compound including removing the volatile organic compound from the resin particles containing the polyphenylene ether-based resin. Furthermore, there are provided the methods etc., for removing the volatile organic compound including fluidizing the resin particles in a gas at a higher temperature than T-70(°C) when the glass transition temperature of the resin particles is T(°C), thereby releasing the volatile organic compound contained in the resin particles into the gas, and removing the volatile organic compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
