<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance unit in which a conveying medium protruded from a wall face can be easily taken out even when the length of the protrusion of the conveying medium from the wall face is short. <P>SOLUTION: The conveyance unit includes: a casing 14 having a front wall 17 provided with a front side opening 13 into which a media tray 71 is inserted, and a rear wall 16 disposed opposing the front wall 17; a straight path 65 extending from the front side opening 13 toward the rear wall 16 and guiding the media tray 71 inserted from the front side opening 13; a first roller pair 58 disposed in the straight path 65 for conveying the media tray 71 in the front and rear direction 8; and a second rear side opening 87 formed in the rear wall 16 and projecting the media tray 71 guided through the straight path 65 to the outside of a composite machine 10.
