<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-assisted recording head using a scatterer having conductivity as a near-field light generating element which strengthens magnetic field intensity at a part where near-field light occurs. <P>SOLUTION: Magnetic materials are used as the materials of tip of a scatterer having conductivity for generating near-field light, and the tip is disposed at a position near the lateral face of a main pole in a magnetic head or a position between the tip of the main pole and a slider floating face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
