<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize backup data with data in another connected DB, when one DB is disconnected from a redundant system for backup. <P>SOLUTION: A transaction monitoring unit 101 monitors a state of a transaction processed when a backup start request is input, suspends an output of the backup start request till the end of all the transactions in process when they exist, and outputs the backup start request when all the transactions are completed. The transaction monitoring unit 101 causes a temporary storage unit 105 to store update requests in a transaction generated from the input of the backup start request to the output of the backup start request to a DB synchronization management unit 102.
