<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a film composed of a fumarate diester polymer and showing excellence in transparency, surface smoothness, thickness precision and mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the transparent film by a solvent-casting method comprising solvent-casting a polymer solution composed of the fumarate diester polymer and an organic solvent on a support base plate and evaporating the solvent from the solvent-cast film containing the solvent, the organic solvent is a mixed solvent composed of 95 to 5 wt.% of one or more aromatic solvents selected from benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, cumene and chlorobenzene and 5 to 95 wt.% of one or more non-aromatic solvents selected from acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, and tetrahydrofuran, and the polymer solution is a solution of the fumarate diester polymer whose polymer concentration is ≥15 wt.% to ≤50 wt.% and whose solution viscosity measured at 30°C is ≥1,000 cP to ≤50,000 cP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
