<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile fabric using an acrylic fiber, and having a soft feel and a good recovering property similar to fur of small animals such as a chinchilla. <P>SOLUTION: A pile fabric comprises a pile portion including: a stinging hair composed of an acrylic fiber having a Y-shape fiber cross section and single fiber fineness of 2 to 15 dtex; and a downy hair composed of a shrinkable acrylic fiber having single fiber fineness of 1 to 8 dtex, in which a mass ratio of the stinging hair to the downy hair is 50/50 to 80/20, and a length ratio of the stinging hair to the downy hair is 10/9 to 10/5. A method for manufacturing the pile fabric comprises: subjecting pre-bulk-up treatment to a yarn containing the acrylic fiber and the shrinkable acrylic fiber using steam at a temperature of 80 to 130°C for 3 to 5 min to develop the shrinkage of the shrinkable acrylic fiber; and dyeing the yarn, knitting the yarn to form the pile fabric, and brushing, polishing and shirring the pile fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
