<p>Disclosed is a rotating electric machine which suppresses narrowing of magnetic path due to the skin effect in a housing and increases torque. The disclosed rotating electric machine comprises a stator core configured from a core back and teeth, a stator winding wound around the teeth, a stator configured from the stator core and the stator winding, a housing configured from a magnetic body and accommodating the stator, and a rotor arranged rotatably on the inner circumference side of the stator, wherein the rotating electric machine is configured so as to provide a gap between the inner wall of the housing and the outer circumference surface of the core back. In addition to this configuration, the core back has a protruding part on the radial back surface of the part where the teeth are provided. The protruding part is provided so as to be continuous in the axial direction, and the tip part of the protruding part contacts the inner wall of the housing. The aforementioned gap may optionally be configured by the inner wall of the housing, the outer circumferential surface of the core back, and the protruding part.</p> |
