SLURRY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEPARATOR USING THE SLURRY

The present invention provides a slurry. The slurry can be used for the purpose of forming a porous membrane, which contains a water-soluble polymer and fine particles, in a separator wherein the porous membrane and a polyolefin porous membrane are laminated. The slurry contains a water-soluble polymer, fine particles and a medium. The medium is a mixed solvent of water and at least one alcohol that is selected from among saturated aliphatic alcohols having 1-4 carbon atoms, and the concentration of the alcohol is 10-35% by weight (inclusive) relative to the mixed solvent. A method for producing a separator comprises: a step wherein a polyolefin porous membrane is coated with the slurry; and a step wherein the medium is removed from the thus-obtained coating film so that a porous membrane, which contains a water-soluble polymer and fine particles, is laminated on the polyolefin porous membrane.
