<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a membrane electrode assembly from being damaged in a fuel cell including a member whose Young's modulus and thickness are non-uniform. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell comprises: a membrane electrode assembly; a first plate-like member which is disposed on one surface of the membrane electrode assembly and in which Young's modulus of a first part is higher than Young's modulus of a second part; and a second plate-like member which is disposed on the other surface of the membrane electrode assembly and in which Young's modulus of a third part is higher than Young's modulus of a fourth part. The first and second plate-like members are disposed so that the first part of the first plate-like member partly overlaps the third part of the second plate-like member or vice versa and the second part of the first plate-like member does not overlap the fourth part of the second plate-like member or vice versa when the first and second plate-like members are viewed from a lamination direction of the first and second plate-like members for the membrane electrode assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
