<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent processing performance from degrading by reducing a load of processing for managing update status, even when access is concentrated. <P>SOLUTION: A management device 100 switches information acquisition processing to an individual acquisition or a collective acquisition in response to detecting an increase or a decrease in an access frequency to an access destination device 110. For example, when determining that the access frequency has increased at timing T1, the management device 100 changes the information acquisition processing of update information from the individual acquisition to the collective acquisition after T1. Then, the high access frequency continues, and after the management device 100 performs continuously the collective acquisition, when determining that the access frequency has decreased at timing T2, the management device 100 changes the information acquisition processing of update information from the collective acquisition to the individual acquisition after T2.
