<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball measuring device and ball measuring method capable of accurately measuring various data showing behavior of a ball for a ball game with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A ball measuring method comprises the following procedures: signal intensity distribution data P of a Doppler signal Sd measured by using an antenna 12 and a Doppler sensor 14 are obtained; moving velocity Vα is calculated from arithmetic velocity V0 calculated from the signal intensity distribution data P based on correlation between the arithmetic velocity V0 and the moving velocity Vα which is measured and obtained in advance; and a spin amount SP is calculated from the signal intensity distribution data P based on correlation between the signal intensity distribution data P and the spin amount SP which is measured and obtained in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
