<p>2-Alkyl-3-phenyl-3-(basic substd.)-indolines of formula (I), forming cis and trans isomers about the 2,3-positions, are new compounds of formula: (where R1 = 1-5C alkyl; R2, R3 = H, Cl or 1-2C alkyl or alkoxy; R4, R5 = 1-5C alkyl opt. substd. by cycloalkyl, 3-5C alkenyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl; or NR4R5 = 5-6 atom heterocycle opt. containing another O or N atom or substd. by 1-3C alkyl or Ph; A = 2-4C bivalent aliphatic radical; n = 1 or 2). Prefd. cpds. include: cis-3-(2-dimethylamino-1-propyl)-2-methyl-3-phenylindoline(III), d-Rotatory cis and trans cpds. are prefd. Useful as analgesics, the cpds. also show anti-inflammatory and antitussive props.</p> |
