<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain correct color balance considering a light emission characteristic change corresponding to the temperature of a fluorescence body, in a device that uses, as a light source, fluorescence generated from the fluorescence body to which a beam of light is delivered. <P>SOLUTION: The projection device includes: a laser diode (LD) 18; a light source section 15 for generating a light source beam from fluorescence generated by irradiating the fluorescent body with light from the LD 18; an input section 11 for inputting an image signal; projection systems (12 to 14, 16, 17, and 27) for forming an optical image corresponding to the image signal input in the input section 11 and projecting the optical image; a temperature sensor 26 for detecting the temperature near a color wheel 20 in the light source section 15; a program memory 30 for storing information indicating the degree of decrease in light emission luminance corresponding to the temperature of the fluorescence body; and a CPU 28 for correcting the gradation of the optical image projected by the projection systems (12 to 14, 16, 17, and 27) based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 26 and the information stored in the program memory 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
