<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device with a life estimation function of a switching element, capable of being exchanged prior to breakage to the switching element. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator control device includes: a converter; a smoothing capacitor; an inverter; a temperature measurement section for measuring a heat radiation surface temperature of a switching element; and a life determination section that takes measurements of heat radiation surface temperatures measured by the temperature measurement section as actually measured values and compares predetermined values as heat radiation surface temperatures to the actually measured values to detect the presence of failure in the switching element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
