<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack shaft support device in which a support yoke 10 does not abut on the inside surface of a holding hole 8, even if shock from tires is reversely inputted to the rack shaft to incline the support yoke 10. <P>SOLUTION: The rack shaft support device is characterized by including a support yoke 10 held in a holding hole 8 formed in a housing 9 so as to be movable in a depth direction of the holding hole 8 and supporting a rack shaft 7, which gears with a pinion 3, slidably in an axial direction, an energizing member 12 energizing the support yoke 10 toward the rack shaft 7 side, and a yoke plug 20 screwed into a screw formed on inner periphery of an inlet 30 of the holding hole 8, wherein at least an opposed surface 10b of the support yoke 10 side among opposed surfaces 10b and 11a between the support yoke 10 and the yoke plug 20 is made to be a spherical surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
