PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for electrostatic charge image development in which the deterioration of the maintenance property of transfer efficiency (transfer maintenance property) of toner from an image holder to a transfer object is suppressed.

SOLUTION: Toner for electrostatic charge image development comprises toner base particles containing at least a binder resin and a coloring agent and the toner base particles have protrusions made of particles of silicone rubber on the surface. The toner for electrostatic charge image development preferably has an average circularity of 0.97 or more and the ratio d/D of the volume average particle diameter D of the toner for electrostatic charge image development and the volume average particle diameter d of the particles of silicone rubber forming the protrusions is preferably 0.05 to 0.12.
