<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution which enables the suppression of the deterioration in electrolytic solution's property owing to water in the electrolytic solution, and which allows the suppression of film package's expansion and deformation in the case of an electrochemical device of a film package type put in a reflow furnace for soldering on a circuit board to prevent the deterioration of the properties including the electrostatic capacity, and to provide an electrochemical device using such nonaqueous electrolytic solution. <P>SOLUTION: Nonaqueous electrolytic solution comprises: nonaqueous solvent; and an electrolyte dissolving in the nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains cyclic orthocarboxylic acid ester. The cyclic orthocarboxylic acid ester reacts with water in the electrolytic solution, thereby preventing e.g. propylene carbonate which is a primary component of the nonaqueous solvent from reacting with the water and consequently being broken down.
