<p>In the present invention, a data storage unit (44) inputs data which has been subject to LDPC encoding. A min-sum processing unit (46) executes a min-sum algorithm for the data that has been input, thereby alternately executing check node processing for updating an extrinsic value ratio on the basis of a prior value ratio, and variable node processing for updating the prior value ratio on the basis of the extrinsic value ratio. A control unit (42) adjusts the magnitude of a normalizing constant to be used when updating the extrinsic value ratio in the check node processing according to the magnitude of the prior value ratio updated in the variable node processing.</p> |
