<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device of a transmission case of an engine capable of restraining wear of an oil seal due to biting of dust. <P>SOLUTION: In the sealing device of the transmission case of the engine, a rotating transmission shaft 2 is inserted into the transmission case 1, an inner transmission ring 4 is fitted to the outer periphery of the rotating transmission shaft 2 in the transmission case 1, a transmission shaft insertion through hole 5 is bored on a case wall 3 of the transmission case 1, the rotating transmission shaft 2 is protruded outside the transmission case 1 via the transmission shaft insertion through hole 5, an outer transmission ring 7 is fitted to the outer periphery of a projection part 6 of the rotating transmission shaft 2 outside the transmission case 1, a collar 8 is fitted to the outer periphery of the rotating transmission shaft 2 in the transmission shaft insertion through hole 5, and the oil seal 9 is fitted to the inner periphery of the transmission shaft insertion through hole 5 to make the oil seal 9 abut against the outer peripheral surface 8a of the collar 8, wherein an annular dustproof cover 25 is held between the outer transmission ring 7 and the collar 8, while assuming that an axial longitudinal direction of the rotating transmission shaft 2 is a front-back direction and a protruding direction of the rotating transmission shaft 2 is the front, and the oil seal 9 is covered from the front side thereof with the dustproof cover 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
