<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection device automatically carrying out color adjustment for a projected image by taking the color of a screen into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: An image of the same hue can always be viewed by automatically carrying out color adjustment of an image projected on a screen regardless of the color of the screen by: projecting a reference image modulated by a reflection type liquid crystal element 20 with initial adjustment carried out by using light radiated from an illumination light source 10 on a projection surface 60 where the image is actually projected; imaging the reference image projected on the projection surface 60 by an imaging element 50; and then adjusting color balance for the illumination light source 10 so that the balance of actual color signal values outputted from the imaging element 50 is made close to a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
