<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of winding terminals drawn out to the outside of a pressure vessel. <P>SOLUTION: A compressor 100 driven by a rotary electric machine having a plurality of windings U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2 wound in each phase includes: a switching device 40 for switching the connection of the plurality of windings into either serial connection or parallel connection; and a pressure vessel 22 storing the rotary electric machine and the switching device inside. Terminals of the windings wound for driving the electric machine are drawn out to the outside of the pressure vessel 22 via a terminal box 30a provided at the pressure vessel.
