AQUEOUS GEL COMPOSITION, GEL INSECTICIDE, METHOD OF KILLING INSECT PESTS, AND INSECTICIDE TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel insecticide and an insecticide tool having an aqueous gel as a base material and capable of exhibiting constantly insecticidal effect for a long period.

SOLUTION: The gel insecticide is composed of an aqueous gel composition containing 0.1-5 wt.% of a gelling agent, 5-65 wt.% of glycerol, and an aqueous solvent and further an insecticide component. The insecticide tool has a constitution in which by filling the gel insecticide 1 in a flat shaped container 3 having an open top, the gel insecticide is exposed over the whole open surface 2 of the container. While the surface shrinkage of the gel by water evaporation is highly suppressedand, then the gel is reduced only in the thickness even when left being filled in the open container; thereby the surface area is kept as it is.
