<p>The present invention provides a connector that is capable of opening a valve without the need to insert the leading end of a pipe inside a flow passage of a housing. This connector is provided with a housing provided with a flow passage and a pipe connection opening, and a valve which is formed by an elastic material and which occludes the pipe connection opening. The valve has a deformation section formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and a flanged fixing piece that protrudes from the outer periphery of the deformation section. The deformation section has a top surface that is exposed from the pipe connection opening, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface, and a slit that reaches the bottom surface from the top surface. The fixing piece is disposed on a middle section of the top surface and the bottom surface, and is fixed to the housing. When the top surface is pressed by the pipe, the deformation section of the valve is displaced toward the flow passage while being elastically deformed, and the inner surface that forms the slit faces the flow passage, and the top surface forms an opening linked to the flow passage.</p> |
